About the Artist

Debbie Kluge - Biography

Debbie Kluge is a realist painter whose work explores stillness, atmosphere and quiet emotional presence.  Her work encourages a slower pace of viewing, where light, atmosphere, and form are reduced to what matters most. Working primarily from observed experience and refined studio practice, she seeks clarity without excess, allowing each piece to breathe.

Kluge’s subject matter draws from the natural world, not as description but as structure—using landscape, flora, and wildlife as vessels for mood, balance, and contemplation. Color is tempered. Edges are intentional. Nothing is asked to shout.

Her work has been exhibited in juried regional and national shows and is held in private collections. She is an active exhibiting artist and a member of Oil Painters of America, along with several Pacific Northwest arts organizations. Kluge lives and works in Washington State.

Whispered elegance. Nothing shouts. Everything breathes.
